Adv. Pres. Elder Thomas Herbert Jackson

Thomas Herbert Jackson, age 91, departed this life on Saturday, January 9, 2016. He was born on August 23, 1924, in White Post, VA, to the late Reverend Thomas Crittenden Jackson and Ella Josephine Pinkett. He was one of twelve children.

He leaves to cherish his memory the following siblings: Lucille Elizabeth Jackson, Susie Mae Jackson, Irma Jane Jackson, Barbara Clarissa Jackson and Lloyd Julius Jackson.

He also leaves his wife of sixty-eight years, Mother Rosella Washington Jackson and his (5) children: Lavenia Elizabeth Leatherbury, Phillip Edward Jackson, Sister Rachel Lee Watts, Elderess Grace Savage and Elderess Deborah White. He was blessed with (10) grandchildren: Martha Jackson, David Leatherbury, Rachel Leatherbury, Mary Leatherbury, Titus Leatherbury, Brother Brandon Watts, Sarah Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Brother Grayson Savage and Sister Lauren White. There are also (15) great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by the following siblings: Viola Maxine Jackson, Marie Irene Jackson, Elwood Carter Jackson, Oswald Crittenden Jackson, Tacoma Pinkett Jackson
and Otas Ernestine Jackson.

The family wishes to acknowledge and extend sincere thanks for all expressions of sympathy through prayers, phone calls, cards and acts of kindness.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Winchester, VA.
