Alice Baltimore Smith

Alice Baltimore Smith, 78, of Frederick, MD, went home to glory on Thursday August 4, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.

She was born October 7, 1932 in Linden, VA, the daughter of the late Thomas Baltimore and Sarah Rector Baltimore. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Linden, VA and First Missionary Baptist Church in in Frederick, MD. She was married to Larkin W. Smith, Jr. who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Gilbert Baltimore (Kim) of Newark, Delaware, Jerome O. Smith and Juan M. Smith both of Front Royal, VA; three daughters, Annette S. Mitchell (Harlon, Sr.) of Williamsport, MD, Jacqueline E. Smith of Frederick, MD and Angela E. Wharton (Niketa) of Midlothian, VA; one daughter in law, Helen V. Smith of Front Royal, VA; one sister, Margaret B. Summers of Front Royal, VA; four brothers, Roland Baltimore of Gettysburg, PA, Lloyd Baltimore (Jean) of Bentonville, VA, Rev. Allen Baltimore, and Goldie Baltimore(Ann) both of Front Royal, VA; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

One son, Larry D. Smith; Seven brothers, Henry Baltimore, Robert Baltimore, John Baltimore, Edward Baltimore, Paul Baltimore, Eugene Baltimore and Warner Baltimore; three sisters, Elsie B. Banjoman, Lucy Summers and Rachel Poles all preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Mt. Morris Baptist Church in Hume, VA with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating and Rev. Lindsey Green bringing the eulogy.

Family will receive friends one hour before service August 11, 2011 at the church.

Interment will be at Mt. Morris Cemetery in Hume, Virginia.
