Andrea Simmone Farquharson

Andrea Farquharson, 42 of Winchester, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Valley Health Medical Center in Winchester, VA following a brief illness.

Andrea was born April 2, 1978 in Kingston, Jamaica, the daughter of Elaine Robinson of Jamaica and the late Adrian Malcolm of Kingston, Jamaica.

She was adopted and raised by the late Clifford (Shorty) and Marjary Farquharson of Winchester, Virginia where she graduated from Handley High school, (Class of 1996).   She also graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College of Middleton, Virginia.

She was a dedicated, loyal and loved Manager at Apple Federal Credit Union. (Winchester, VA Branch) and also managed the Caribbean Food Store once "Shorty" passed away.

Just as her adopted parents, she loved the Lord and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, VA.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five brothers Damion Malcom of Jamaica; Shaun Rose of Colorado; Larry Strachan of Jamaica; Devon and Horace Farquharson both of Winchester, VA.; two sisters; Patrina Cole of Georgia; and Vevene Farquharson of Winchester, VA, One Grandfather Noel Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

She also leaves to cherish her sweet and humble memory, her entire Apple Federal Credit Union family and the family, friends and customers in the community of Winchester City.

Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Saturday January 16, 2021 at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.

Family will receive friends 5 to 7:00 pm Friday January 15, 2021 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia. Viewing will also be on hour before at the cemetery.

CDC guidelines will be followed at the funeral home and the cemetery.  Please wear your mask.
