Obituary
She was born September 23, 1936 in Clearbrook, VA., the daughter of the late John E. Carter, Sr. and Sarah Itessa Brown Carter.
Leaving to celebrate her life is her daughter, Danita D. Carter; three grandsons; two sisters, Gilbert Carter of Winchester, VA. and Frances McQuay of Harrisburg, PA; one brother, E. Vincent Carter of Inwood, WV; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
She was preceded by three brothers, John, Jr., Eston and Allen Carter; two sisters, Naomi Brown and Lois Carter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday May 9th, 2016 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
