Anna E. Jackson

Anna E. Jackson, 90, of Boyce, Virginia passed away Monday 5, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Front Royal, Virginia February 20, 1920 the daughter of the late Counsler Washington and Rebecca Dean Washington. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Boyce, Virginia. She was a member of the Missionary Board and Deaconess. She was the Mother of the Church. She was also very active in several other organizations.

Mrs. Jackson was married to the late Marvin A. Jackson, Sr. for 35 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Franklin W. Jackson and John R. Jackson both of Winchester, Virginia; one daughter, Ann Russell of Winchester, Virginia; a adopted daughter, Janet Young of Frederick, Maryland; a adopted son, Eric Myers of Winchester, Virginia; a aunt Alberta Smith of Front Royal, Virginia; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, adopted children and grandchildren.

One son, Marvin A. Jackson, Jr.; a daughter, Mary R. Roberts; a sister, Mabel Johnson; a brother, Aubrey Washington; adopted son, James Washington; and a grandson, Frank Jackson, Jr., all preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday July 10, 2010 at Grace Episcopal Church in Berryville, Virginia Rev. John Green officiating.

Family will receive friends 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday July 9, 2010 at the church.

Pallbearers will be Deacons of Zion Baptist Church and Friends.
