Anna Lucille Wanzer
Ms. Anna L. Wanzer, 79, of Stephens City, Virginia died Wednesday September, 25, 2008
at Ruxton Health Care in Winchester, Virginia.
Ms. Wanzer was born January 9, 1929 in Stephens City, Virginia the daughter of the late Meridith Wanzer and Anna Lee Washington. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She was also a member of Stephens City U.M.C. in Stephens City, Virginia. She was a retired Lt. Col. in the West Virginia Air National Guard. She retired after 30 years of service with the Veterans Administration and the Air National Guard. She was a graduate of Douglas High School (1945) and graduated (1955) from Lincoln School of Nursing in New York as a registered professional nurse.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Mary L. Beamer of Winchester, Virginia.
Two sisters, Lois M. Pringley and Mildred Lee Wanzer; and one brother, Eldridge Wanzer all preceded her in death.
A celebration of life will be 1:00 pm on Thursday October 2, 2008 at Stephens City United Methodist Church in Stephens City, Virginia with the Rev. Jeff Butcher officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Stephens City, Virginia.
