Annie Rebecca Brown
Annie Rebecca Brown, 93, of Berryville, Virginia died Thursday August 7, 2008 at Ruxton Health of Winchester in Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Brown was born March 2, 1915 in Berryville, Virginia the daughter of the late Moses Wood Brown and Rhoda Virginia Blair. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia where she served on the Missionary Broad, Women's Auxiliary, the Kitchen Committee, and Homemakers Extension of Clarke County. She worked for the Friant Family.
She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Rosetta B. Clay of Berryville, Virginia; a devoted niece, Lucia B. Wilson, who was her care giver, and other relatives and friends.
A son, Moses Wellington Brown; one granddaughter, Barbara Ridgeway; a sister, Emma B. Phillips; and four brothers, Spotswood Brown, William Brown, Thomas J. Brown, and John B. Brown all preceded her in death.
A celebration of life will be 12:00 pm Monday August 11, 2008 at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia with Pastor Delbert Hicks and Rev. James E. Scott.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
