Avon Anderson Hughes
Avon A. Hughes, 56, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday May 22, 2007 in Winchester Virginia.
Mr. Hughes was born July 5, 1950 in Marshall, Virginia the son of the late James Russell Hughes and Dorothy Anderson Hughes Travis. He was formerly married to Ann Ford Hughes of Herndon, VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his daughter, Renee Hughes Williams of Lansdowne, Va.; one brother Shabaka M. Jeusi of Manassas, VA.; one sister, Sandra Hughes of Reston, Virginia; and stepfather Johnny Travis of Winchester, VA.
One brother, Gary L. Hughes and one sister Iris Payne preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Saturday May 26, 2007 at the Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia.
Friends may call Friday 1 to 3 pm at the funeral home and the family will receive friends Friday May 25, 2007 7:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be William Harris, Randolph Martin, Clarence Dokes, Dennis Long, Richard Harris and Bushrod Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Vernon Payne, Johnny Morris, Phil Harris, Kenneth Carey, Archie Pollard, Gilbert Long, and William Beamer.
