Ben Williams Jr., 87, of Winchester, VA, passed away January 27, 2011 at Envoy of Winchester in Winchester, VA.

He was born July 30, 1923 in Besserman, AL the son of the late Ben Williams, Sr. and Hattie Lee Williams. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Berryville, VA. He was a member of the Pride of Berkeley #402 I.B.P.O.E. Elks of the World Martinsburg, WV, and WV member of the Masonic Lodge Mt. Pisga #3. He also was a World War ll U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.

He was married to Gladys Paige Williams of Winchester, VA. He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife; one daughter, Michelle Freeman (James) of Winchester, VA.; two sons, Brian E. Paige of RI, and Pastor Ronald L. Paige (Lillian) of Winchester, VA; three grandchildren, Corey J. Freeman and Conner M. Freeman both of Winchester, VA., and Twana Myers-Curry all of Winchester, VA; three great-grandchildren; and a special aunt Clarissa Lee of Tuskegee, Alabama; and host of cousins.

His brother Rudolph Williams preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 am Wednesday February 2, 2011 at St. Luke Baptist Church in Berryville, VA. with Pastor Barnabus Sewell officiating and Pastor Lawrence E. Wilson bringing the eulogy.

Family will received friends one hour before service at the church.

Pallbearers are Jim Freeman, Corey Freeman, Maurice Thomas, Johnny Johnson, Mark Roper, and K.C. McMeans.

Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Creamer, Donald Dodson, Warren Paige, and Brian Paige.

Interment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA. with Military Honors will be afforded by the Winchester VFW Post # 2123.
