Bessie Lee Gayle
Bessie Lee Gayle, 74 of Winchester, Virginia passed away Wednesday June 9, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Gayle was born on August 19, 1935 in Boyce, Virginia, the daughter of late Charlotte Lee.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia. She served on the Usher Board, Senior Choir, and the Missionary Board. She was a past member of the Jolly Poodles Club.
She was married to Thomas Alfronso Gayle of Winchester, Virginia.
She leaves to cherish her memory, with her husband, two step children, Winfrel Gayle and Marcia Gayle both of Jamaica; a god child Mildred Jean Jackson of White Post, Virginia; one sister, Charlotte Hughs of Washington, DC; and one step grandchild.
Two sisters, Lucy Carter and Mariah Lee; five brothers, Douglas Lee, James Lee, Harrison Lee, Abner Lee, and Robert Lee all preceded her in death.
A celebration of life will be 5:00 pm Sunday June 13, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Gilbert M. Mack, Jr. officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church
Inurnment will be a later date.
