Betty Ann Smith, 68, of Stephens City, VA., passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2023, at her home.

Betty was born March 9, 1955, in Winchester, VA., the daughter of the late Joseph Cook and Bessie E. Dokes.

She was a lifelong member of the John Wesley Community Christian Church in Clearbrook, VA. She was a woman of great faith and service to God.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Smith; three brothers, Joseph Dokes (Roberta), Clarence Dokes, Sr. (Brenda), James Dokes (Ruby) all of Winchester, VA.; one sister, Marissa Dokes (the late Tommy Smith),; her son Curtis Dokes (Christina) all of Clearbrook, VA., godchildren, Tony and Tinisha of Bunker Hill, WV., aunts, Virginia Stern of Clearbrook, VA., and Augusta Williams of Winchester, VA.; Uncle Lawrence Dokes of Bunker Hill, WV., and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA., with Pastor Al Ford officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.

Pallbearers will be George Sloane, Ralph Brown, Jr., Curtis Dokes, Nasir Nix, Arthur Dokes, and Arthur Dokes, Jr.
