Betty Helen Harper
Betty H. Harper, 76, of Hedgesville, WV, formerly of Winchester, Virginia died Thursday June 22, 2006 at her home.
Mrs. Harper was born December 9, 1929 in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of Franklin Long and Helen Higgins Long. She was member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, Virginia. She was a passed member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6044.
She was married to Harry J. Harper who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, Charles F. Long and his fiancés Esther Beaner both of Hedgesville, WV with whom her lived; two sisters, Lillian Jennings and Naomi Edwards both of Harrisburg, PA; and four granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 pm on Wednesday June 28, 2006 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, Virginia with the Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating
Burial will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
Visitation will be Tuesday 3-5 pm at Cartwright Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends one hour before service on Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers will be William Beamer, John Marshall, Phil Harris, Gilbert Long, Dennis Long, and Lyn Williams.
