Carolyn "CeCe" Rachelle Christian-Donaldson

Carolyn "CeCe" Rachelle Christian-Donaldson, age 45, of Rome, Georgia, transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.

Carolyn was born on July 25, 1980, in Winchester, Virginia, to the late Kelvin Christian, Sr., and Mable Haines Christian. From an early age, her life reflected warmth, love, and a genuine concern for others—qualities that followed her throughout her earthly journey.

She received her early education at Bass-Hoover Elementary School and later attended Sherando High School, where she proudly graduated with the Class of 1999. Even in her youth, Carolyn's radiant smile and kind spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Carolyn devoted her life to helping others through chosen profession in healthcare. She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) certificate through Lural Ridge Community College and obtained her Medical Administrative Assistant certificate from Ultimate Medical Academy. Through these accomplishments, she was able to utilize her skills in patient care. Most recently, she served as a Cardiac Nursing Assistant at Atrium Health, where her dedication and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

Carolyn was truly the glue of her family. She faithfully stayed in touch with loved ones, ensuring everyone felt remembered and connected through phone calls, text messages, and heartfelt check-ins. Her presence brought comfort, unity, and joy, and her beautiful smile was often a source of encouragement to others.

Most importantly, Carolyn was a woman of faith and trust in God. She knew and believed that her help came from the Lord. Her life was anchored in her confidence in God's strength, guidance, and salvation. In every season, she leaned on Him, standing firmly on His promises.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, James Donaldson; her two beloved children, Malcolm James and Keziah James of Charlottesville, Virginia; her loving mother, Mable Christian of Front Royal, Virginia; her step daughter Alivia Donaldson of Rome, GA; Jannae James of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her stepson, Tevis James of Martinsburg, West Viginia; her brother, Kelvin Christian (Huldah) of Charlestown, West Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her life and will miss her dearly.

Though she has been called home, Carolyn's faith, love, kindness, and radiant smile will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extends, our sincere, and heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support shown during this time of bereavement. We thank you for every card, text message, phone call, visit, prayer, and kind expression of comfort that has strengthened and uplifted our family.

We are deeply appreciative of the financial support, words of encouragement, and the continued prayers from family, friends, and the saints near and far. Your compassion, generosity, and love have brought us great comfort and have reminded us that we are not alone during this season.

Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2026, at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home

Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
