Cecilia "Mom Brown" Gertrude Brown

Cecilia G. Brown, of West Virginia, departed this life on October 15, 2013 at her home in Inwood, WV.

She was born September 24, 1918 in Gerrardstown, WV, the daughter of the late Gold Johnson and Delia Robinson. She was a member of John Wesley Community Church in Clearbrook, VA. Later she joined the Light House Outreach Community Church in Inwood, WV.

She was married to Shelia J. Brown, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Pastor Imogen B. Smith; three sons, Robert D. Brown, Vernon Brown and Roger Brown all of Clearbrook, VA.; three sisters, Olive Brown of Winchester, VA, Dora Brown of Maryland and Faye Hatch of Arizona; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchild, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Brooks; 5 brothers, Lionel Johnson, Hubert Johnson, Allen Johnson, Eugene Johnson and Guy Johnson; and 5 sisters, Clarisha Johnson, Blanche Mae Johnson, Lena Cook, Elizabeth Johnson and Peggy Johnson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday October 21, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Baptist Church in Winchester, VA.
Family will receive friends Monday October 21, 2013 one hour before service at the Church.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
