Claudia Virginia Turner

On Friday, December 4, 2020, Claudia Virginia Turner passed on to be with the Lord at the age of 70.  Claudia was born on June 22, 1950, in Winchester, VA to the late Julian A. Burns and Virginia Burks Burns.  Claudia married Francis Leroy Turner Sr. in 1968.  Claudia and Francis raised two daughters Valencia Turner and Valerie Turner and two sons, Frances Leroy Turner Jr. and George Julian Turner Sr.  Claudia also raised two daughters Precious Turner and Lauren Turner and one Step-Daughter Letecia Turner of Washington, DC.

She leaves to cherish one brother Phillip Burns (Doe) and two sisters, Maggie Grimes of Cleveland, OH and Joanna Powell of Winchester, VA.  Honorary brother Greg (Keyshia) Mathes and Claudia's favorite Aunt Betty Burks.

Claudia also leaves to cherish her memory, several grandchildren, T.J. Williams, Chris Williams, George Turner Jr, Roger Johnson (RJ), Amaya Long and London Banks.  Great grandchildren, Ayanna Turner, Tahjay Turner, Hassan Akambi, Jayden Williams, Jaque Akambi and Lexton Newman.

Claudia Turner was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Virginia and Julian Burns.  Her husband, Francis L Turner Sr and her son Francis L Turner Jr (Chinaman).  Siblings, David Burns (Tim), Mary Margaret Shields, Phyllis Burns and Grandchildren, Tamanika Turner and Capria Turner.

Claudia Turner was a joyful woman-filled with joy and spread joy to all that she encountered. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for Claudia will be held at a later date.
