Clinton "Clint" Westbrook Brown, Jr.
Clinton 'Clint' Westbrook Brown, Jr., 45 of Martinsburg, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, February17, 2018.
Clinton, Jr., was born in Winchester, Virginia on September 2, 1972 to Mildred Brown and the late Clinton W. Brown, Sr. He was educated in Jefferson County and was a 1990 graduate of Jefferson High School in Charles Town, West Virginia.
Clinton, Jr., served the United States Marines for four years. He was stationed in Hawaii and was deployed to Somalia.
In 2015 he was honored in the National Hall of Fame for Darts.
Clint as he was affectionally known, wasn't a stranger to anyone. Everywhere he went he made friends instantly. His unique laughter and his jokes had everyone laughing for hours. When he walked in a room, everyone received a 'Bear Hug' and immediately turned their frowns into smiles. He loved darts, bowling, country music and he took after his father Clinton, Sr., he loved his women.
Clinton Jr. leaves to cherish one daughter, Jazmyn Brown of Martinsburg, West Virginia his loving and caring mother Mildred Brown of Dalzell, South Carolina; one sister, Lawanda Newman of Charles Town, West Virginia, one brother, Marcellus (Victoria) Weaver of Cloveland, England. Uncles and Aunts William (Dorothy) Weaver of Fort Meade, Maryland, Lawrence (Lela) Brown, of Charles Town, West Virginia, James Lockley, Jr. of Charles Town, West Virginia, Norman (Mildred) Carter of Dalzell, South Carolina, Melvin (Beatrice) Carter of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Patricia Jones of Sumter, South Carolina A host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends are left to cherish and remember his life.
Clinton Jr. was preceded in death by his father Clinton W. Brown, Sr. and a sister Kathryn Marie Brown.
Viewing will be held at Cartwright Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27th from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
Celebration of Life services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 28th at 12:00 noon with the Reverend Robert Jackson of Jamestown, Baptist Church, Summit Point, West Virginia,Eulogist and the Reverend Thomas H. Habersham of Moncks Corner AME Church, Moncks Corner, South Carolina Officiating.
Inurnment will be a later date in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
