Deacon Wayne Edward Williams, Sr.
Deacon Wayne E. Williams, Sr., 53, Winchester, VA., died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
He was born July 21, 1960 in Winchester, VA., the son of the late Lester Williams and Mable Peyton Williams. He was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as an electrician for VDOT for almost 20 years. He was a member of and Deacon at Zion Baptist Church and a fateful servant of the Lord. He was a great dad, brother and friend to whomever had the opportunity to known him. He will be greatly missed, but we know that we will see him again.
He is survived by a son, Wayne Williams, Jr. of Winchester, VA; a sister, Wendy Wise of Winchester, VA., and a brother Robert Williams of Austin, TX.
Two sisters Robin Christine Williams and Jeanette Williams and a brother Gregory Williams preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at Zion Baptist church in Berryville, VA with the Pastor Delbert Hicks officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday February 2, 2014 from 3-4:00 pm at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA.
Burial will be at Shenandoah memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
