Deacon George Ralph Brown
Deacon George Ralph Brown, 69, of Clearbrook, VA, passed away Saturday July 16, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
He was born June 21, 1942 in Clearbrook, VA, the son of the late George Brown and Ada Marie Brown. He was a member and Deacon of John Wesley Community Christian Church in Clearbrook, VA.
He was married to Dorothy Dokes Brown of Clearbrook, VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife a daughter, a son, Ralph Anthony Brown of Charlotte, NC; Carrie Annetta Moore of Emporia, VA; a sister, Patrica Jones of South Carolina; 5 brothers, Melvin (Beatrice) Carter of Harrisonburg, PA, Norman (Mildred) Carter of South Carolina, Helious (Darlene) Brown of North Carolina, Clinton (Mildred) Brown of South Carolina, and Lawrence (Lela) Brown of West, Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Four brothers, Kenneth Carter, Richard Carter, Perry Brown and Herbert Brown all preceded him in death.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 21, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA with Rev Al Ford.
Family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday July 20, 2011 at the church.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
