Deborah Kay Lockley
Deborah Kay Lockley, 59, gained her wings December 26, 2016. She was born November 27, 1957 in Jefferson County WV. She lived in Kearneysville, WV. Debbie was a devoted chef at Care Haven Center in Martinsburg, WV for 16 years. She was called MAMA from everyone at the facility, including the residents. Care Haven was her second home. The House of Prayer was her home church.
She was married to James Lockley II.
Surviving with her husband of 40 years; her mother Sarah Nabors of Ransom, WV; three sisters, Barbara Shelley of Capon Bridge, Bernadette Nabors of Shenandoah Junction and Angela Jones of Herndon, VA; brothers, Milton Nabors of Manchester, NH and Calvin Johnson of Wilmington, DE; daughters, Tisha Walker of Kearneysville, WV, Lawanda Newman Ransom, Shaniek Gidney of Martinsburg, WV; sons, James Lockley III of Summit Point, WV., and Anthony Dokes of Bunker Hill, WV; two step-daughters, Christy Carter of Winchester, VA and Ivory Williams of NC; 28 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father; Roosevelt Johnson, brother; Jerry Nabors, son; Lyndale Newman and daughter, Lakisha Lockley
A Celebration of Life will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 3rd 2017 at Wainwright Baptist Church 413 West Aviv Street Charles Town, WV.
The family will receive friends one hour before service at the church
Interment will be in Middleway Cemetery in Middleway, WV.
