Derrick "Breeze" Wendell Brooks

Derrick W. Brooks, 68, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday December 24, 2022, at the Winchester medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. He was born august 11, 1954 in Winchester, Virginia to Jean Brooks Walker and the late John "Money" Ash

Two daughters, Natasha Brooks-Pitts of Charlestown, WV., and Derrisha Lewis of Winchester, Virginia survived him; two grand-children Taylon Pitts and Trinity Pitts; a sister, Theda Martin of Winchester and Paula Burnette of Hagerstown, MD., and other sisters and brothers; three nephews, Johnny Martin, Shaun Martin, and Derek McLaren; and other family members.

Also surviving is his significant other Lettie Burks of Stephens City, Virginia

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, with the viewing starting at 11:00 am and followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia.

We will be following CDC guidelines for Covid. Mask must be worn.
