Donald Eugene Turner
Donald Turner, age 64, lost his battle to cancer as he passed away peacefully surrounded by a room full of family on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
He was born December 19, 1953, in Winchester, VA to Mary Turner of Stephens city and the late James "Sambo" Washington. He worked for Kern Motor Company for over 30 years and Technicon in Middletown for 17 years. Donnie was well known by everyone in the car business around town and he could also be seen driving in the Apple Blossom parade for 20 years.
He is survived by his daughters; Kalika Turner, Waukisha Walker and Yvette Williams; Sisters Barbara Turner, Margaret Ann (Reggie) Coulbourn and Lisa Turner; One brother, Paul Turner; eight grandchildren who was his pride and joy, two aunts and two uncles and many nieces, nephews, and family friends whose lives Donnie touched.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild Nevaeh Jackson and his grandparents Robert and Ola Turner.
Donnie was also fortunate enough to have faithful friends John(Carole) Baker and Steve(Patti) Sales and the entire Kern Motor Company and Lewin -Yount family that was there every step of the way.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at noon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Morton officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Stephens City, VA.
