Davis
March 26, 1953 – May 31, 2026
Loving Memory of Donna Delane Davis
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Donna Delane Davis, affectionately known as “Donnie,” who peacefully departed this life on May 31, 2026.
Donna was a loving, kind-hearted woman whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to everyone she met. As the matriarch of her family, she created a legacy of strength, compassion, and togetherness that will continue for generations. She was always ready to offer wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love, making those around her feel valued, welcomed, and cherished.
Dedicated to caring for others, Donna found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. Through her gentle guidance, thoughtful words, and unwavering support, she touched countless lives. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and thrive. She enjoyed nourishing both body and soul through her delicious meals, warm hugs, and kind words.
In her quieter moments, Donna enjoyed working on puzzles and expressing herself through art by sketching and coloring. Though she was initially hesitant to embrace the technological era, after years of refusing to get a cell phone, she eventually became the proud owner of the newest smartphones and several tablets. Rarely seen without one nearby, she used them to pass the time watching funny videos and, most importantly, to stay connected with family and friends near and far. Her newfound love of technology even helped inspire a memorable girls’ trip to Tennessee with friends. These simple pleasures reflected her fun-loving spirit and appreciation for life’s joyful moments.
Donna’s legacy of love, faith, resilience, and generosity will live on through the many lives she impacted. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in knowing that her love will remain with them forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Donnice, Solomon, Justin, and Kiana; her grandchildren: Latece, Latasia, Katory, Delaney, Chazden, Tyanna, Patrick, Avarielle, Jayla, Joelle, Adonis, and Khalees; and her great-grandchildren: Janiyah, Ryleigh, Zamari, Zander, Aurora, and Liam. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends who will continue to honor her memory and carry forward the values she instilled in them. She also leaves behind Bobby Miller, a cherished friend who became like a daughter to her and held a special place in her heart.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; Doris and Lewis Walker; her sister, Andrea Walker; and her daughter, Misty Wilkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026, at Cartwright Funeral Home. Viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to join us afterward at the studio as we continue to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
