Dorothy G. Lockley
Dorothy G. Lockley, 78, of Berryville, Virginia passed away Wednesday April 28, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Lockley was born January 3, 1932 in Summit Point, WV, the daughter of the late Courtney J. Weaver and Delois Mason Weaver. She was a member of Prosperity Baptist Church in James Town WV. She was the Chair of the Flower Ministry. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23.
She was married to the late James M. Lockley, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Mildred Brown (Clinton ,Sr.) of Camden High Way, South Carolina and Lela Brown (Lawrence) of Kearneysville, WV; two sons, William Weaver (Dorothy) of Odenton, MD., and James Lockley, Jr. (Deborah) of Kearneysville, WV.; one sister, Mary Doke (Lawrence) of Bunker Hill, WV.; 22 grandchildren, and 52 great-grandchildren.
A brother, John Weaver preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Berryville, Virginia with Minister Robert Jackson officiating.
Family will receive friends 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm at the church.
Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery in Franklin Town, WV.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Underwood, Donnie Underwood, Kenny Curry, William Holmes, Kevin Liggins, and Robert Smith, Jr.
