Edward James "Eddie" Butler
Edward James "Eddie" Butler, 55 of Winchester, VA, was escorted into heaven on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born April 14, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late William Butler, Sr. and Mary V. Butler. Eddie graduated from Patterson High School, where he played basketball and was a member of the Police Boy's Band Club. He was a member of Saint Augustine Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. Eddie had a variety of careers throughout his lifetime.
Eddie was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his lovely mother, Mary and brothers, William (Margaret) Butler, Sr. and Robert Butler, both of Winchester, VA; his brother, Reed "Pete" Butler, Sr. preceded him in death; his God Mother, Barbara Taylor of Baltimore, MD.; three beautiful daughters, Shawnna (Brian) Johnston of Baltimore, MD, Shanquetta Butler and Shanita Morgan, both of Winchester, VA. and one great son, Andrew(Natisha) Butler of Winchester, VA; four grandchildren, Mya Butler, Davion Butler, Austin Butler and Simeon Butler; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eddie was a man of great humor, with a warm personality. He was an avid sports fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bulls. He is now resting peacefully with God in Heaven reunited with his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Stephens C.M.E. Church in, Winchester, VA with the Reverend Joe Fowlkes officiating.
Inurnment will be at a late date.
