Elderess Wetzel Jean Banks
Wetzel Jean (Weaver) Banks, 65, of Martinsburg, WV departed from this life on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
Known as "Jeanie" to some of her friends and relatives, she was born June 25, 1949 in Winchester, VA. She was the daughter of the late George R. and Ruth G. (Robinson) Weaver. She was employed with Citibank from 1990 until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Martinsburg, WV, where she served as Elderess.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children; Mark M. (Davida) Banks, Martha L. Banks, Connie J. (Rodney) Birth, and Salem I. Banks; six siblings, Sharon Wms. (Charles) Harris, Marshall D. Williams, II, Gretchen A. (Weaver) Bell, Aletha L. (Weaver) Smith, Michael P. Weaver, and Glenn P. (Bonita) Weaver; eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister Charlotte D. (Weaver) Henry and a niece Judith A. Bell-Smith.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 12 pm at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, 1420 Redbud Road, Winchester, VA 22603 with Advanced Presiding Elder Clarence Miller officiating .
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
