Eldrs. Sarah Linda Brooks

Eldrs. Sarah Linda Brooks, 59, of Winchester, VA, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

She was born July 30, 1951 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Dec. Richard Christian and Mtr. Lucy Peyton Christian of Stephens City, VA. Sarah was a very dedicated member of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. She always had wonderful things to say about the church and her faith in God. She was once a member of the Chariot Wheels of Winchester, VA and a member of the Bible School.

She was very quiet and loving person who was always there to help all those around her; always with a smile on her face. She had an enormous amount of love for her family; especially her grandchildren.

She was married to Robert "Bobby" Brooks of Winchester, VA for 35 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory with her husband of Winchester and Mother, Mtr. Lucy Christian of Stephens City, VA; a son Israel Brooks (Sis. Keesha Brooks) of Frederick County, VA; a daughter Jewel Brooks of Winchester, VA; two sisters, Mtr. Gail Scott of Coshocton, OH and Mrs. Sheila Elliott of Winchester; two brothers, Mr. Rodney Christian of Norfolk, VA and Bro Kim Christian of Winchester, VA; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Eldrs. Sarah Brooks is preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Richard Christian and Elder Kelvin Christian, Sr.

Eldrs. Sarah Brooks will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 11, 2011 at The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Winchester, VA, with Sr. Bishop J.V. Terrell and Adv. Pr. Elder Clarence Miller.

Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
