Eliza Potter Paige
Eliza Potter Paige, 93, of Harrisburg, PA., departed this life on September 17, 2013 Harrisburg, PA.
She was born October 22, 1919 in Berryville, VA the daughter of the late George Washington Potter and Catherine Byrd Potter. She attended St. Paul Baptist in Harrisburg, PA, the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg, PA under the Dr. W.B. Cooley, Sr. and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, VA., where she served on the Women's Missionary Auxiliary, Sunday school teacher, choir, Deaconess and Mother of Zion Baptist Church.
She was married to William Henry Paige who preceded her in death. After his passing she moved to Harrisburg, PA, where her niece, Sarah Lewis and nephew, Julian B. Elliott took great care of their auntie.
She is survived by nieces, great nieces, a great-great niece, nephew, great nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 p.m., Saturday September 21, 2013 at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, VA.
Family will receive friends Saturday September 21, 2013 one hour before service at Zion Baptist Church in Berryville, VA., and 12 to 1:00 pm on Friday September 20, 2013 at Wallace Funeral Directors in Harrisburg, PA.
Interment will be in Milton Valley Cemetery in Berryville, VA.
