Elwood Windsor Rye
Elwood W. Rye, 66 of Winchester, VA., died Tuesday December 24, 2013 at his home in Winchester, VA.
Mr. Rye was born May 23, 1947 in Washington, DC the son of the late Bernice Elwood Rye and Francis Virginia Jones Rye. He retired after 27 years as a welder with Arlington Co. Parks and Recreation. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winchester, VA.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Mark W. Rye of Waterloo, Iowa; a sister, Shirley Posey of Paris, TX;
a brother, Linwood Rye of Wardensville, WV; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of life Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday December 30, 2013 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winchester, VA with the Pastor Vernon Bray officiating.
The family will received friends 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday December 30th at the church.
Inurnment will be private.
