Emilce Soto Ortiz

Emilce Soto Ortiz, age 40, passed away in the afternoon of September 5, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Jose Castro, as well as their four children. She also survived by her two brothers, mother and father.

Emilce was born in Cali, Colombia and moved to the United States in her late teenage years. She was a hard-working mother and participant of her community. Later, Emilce met Jose her husband and began dating back in 2010 The couple married on September 2015, welcoming their son, Julien, in 2011 and Brayden, in 2016. She loved admiring the sunset sitting outside on their deck. Emilce loved spending time with her family, and together they frequented parks and lakes and many other attractions across Virginia and neighboring states.

Emilce was also a beloved cousin, friend, as well as a woman of faith who touched many hearts and lives around her. Her presence among those who loved her will be greatly missed.

A service for Emilce will be held at 1:00 P.M.  on September 17th, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church located at 130 Keating Dr

Winchester, VA  22601.

Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church,

Family will also receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA.

We will be following CDC guidelines for Covid.  Mask must be worn.
