Emma Elsie Ashby
Emma E. Ashby, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, died on November 10, 2013 in Winchester, VA.
She was born November 30, 1927 in Winchester, VA., the daughter of the late James Robinson and Ada Tracy Robinson.
She is survived by three daughters, Tammy (John) Reynolds and Virginia Ashby both of Winchester, VA and Ellen (Clinton) Strother of Wilmington, N.C.; one son, Thomas (Sylvia) Gaither of White Post, VA; one sister, Helen Jackson of Winchester, VA.; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
One daughter, Pamela Ford; five sisters, Mary Virginia Bell, Estelle Robinson, Rebecca Banks and Louise Robinson and Hilda Blair; and four brothers, Albert Robinson, Edward Robinson, Harry Robinson and Charles Taylor all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 14, 2013 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA.
Family will receive friends Thursday November 14, 2013 one hour before service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
