Famie Weaver Sloane

Famie Weaver Sloane, 86, of Winchester, Virginia died Sunday May 3, 2009
at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.

Mrs. Sloane was born March 28, 1923 in Middleway, WV., the daughter of the late Charles Samuel Weaver and Marie Roman Weaver. She was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia. She was a member of the Gospel and Senior Choir, Deaconess, Superintendent of Sunday School, church musician and member of the Mother's board.

She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, William (Bill) Roman Snyder of Alexandria, Virginia and Jeffrey (Bruce) L. Snyder of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters, Emma Honesty of Winchester, Virginia and Alice Weaver of Philadelphia, PA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Three sons, Lucien (Butch) T. Bannister, Randolph (Bud) G. Snyder, and Robert (Bobby) Snyder all preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday May 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Gilbert M. Mack, Jr. officiating.

Family will received friends 7:00 to 8:30 pm Thursday May 7, 2009 at the church.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family

Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery Winchester, Virginia.
