Frederick Reynoir "Buster" Jordan

Frederick R. Jordan, 71 went to be with Lord on August 11, 2014 following a prolonged illness.

He was born August 12, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA. He was the son of the late Eunice Theiry and Wellington Jordan, Jr. He graduated from John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA and spent two years in Junior College studying architecture. He married Joan Summers in 1969. He became a resident of Winchester, in 1972.

Frederick was retired from Rubbermaid Commercial Products. He became the proprietor of Jordan's LLC. specializing in men's clothing and accessories. Owning the business fulfilled a lifelong dream and gave his life great purpose. He remained open and served customers throughout his battle with cancer.

He had profound satisfaction and peace as a member of St. Paul AME Church. He served as trustee of the church and had great joy in meeting the needs of the church and its members,

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Jordan and brother, Arthur Smyles. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joan Jordan.; his daughters, Zimeka Thornton and her husband, Antonia Thornton, his daughter Ayesha Jordan, and his granddaughter Zara Thornton. Also surviving are his beloved four aunts, Almenia Jordan, Lois Ricard, Doris Fisher and Russell Jordan.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 12 pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist church in Winchester, VA with Pastor Kevin E. Wilson, Pastor of St. Paul AME Church.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 11AM-12PM at the church.

Interment will be at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
