George Lee Day
George Lee. Day, 78, of White Post, Virginia died Monday February 11, 2008 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, Virginia.
Mr. Day was born February 8, 1930 in Middleburg, Virginia the son of the late Morris Day and Ollie Day. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in White Post, Virginia where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board and Trustee
He was married to Susie Jackson Day of White Post for 28 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters; June Gray of Boyce, Virginia, Pola Shepherd of Leesburg, Virginia, Linda Ulriech of Vienna, Virginia, and Jo-Ann Bray of Winchester, Virginia; one son, Geary Day of Manassas, Virginia; one brother, Andrew Day of Rocky Mountain, Virginia; 14 grand-children, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
One sister, Helen Day preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 pm Thursday February 14, 2008 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with the Pastor Raymond H. Morton, Jr. officiating.
Family will receive friend Wednesday February 13, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Charles "Buster" Jackson Community Cemetery in White Post, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family
