Gertrude M. Cain
Gertrude M. Cain, 83, of Winchester, VA., passed away November 2, 2010 at her home in Winchester, VA.
She was born August 23, 1927 in Wardensville, WV the daughter of the late Harry Wilson Morgan and Mary Ellen Ball Morgan. She was a member of St. Stephens CME Church in Winchester, VA. where she served as Treasurer, Stewart, and a member of the Board of Christian Education. She retired from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where she worked as a currency examiner and supervisor.
She was married to Harold S. Cain of Winchester, VA.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; a daughter Doris Ann Martin of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Etta Ball of Winchester; one brother, Clarence Eugene Morgan of Stephens City, VA; one grandson, Jeffrey B. Martin of Baltimore, MD; two great-grandchildren, Kai P. Martin and Kole T. Martin both of Columbia, MD.
Two sisters, Shirley Wood and Mary Ball; two brothers, Alonzo Ball and Samuel Ball all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday November 6, 2010 at St. Stephens CME Church at 202 Maple Street in Winchester, VA. with Rev. Bryan Edwards officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service November 6, 2010 at the church.
Burial will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
