Gilbert Ray Griffith, Sr.
Gilbert R. Griffith, Sr., 57, of Winchester, Virginia died Thursday February 26 at
Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Griffith was born March 21, 1951 in Loudoun County, Virginia the son of the late Fred Griffith and Mary Davis Griffith. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Catharpin, Virginia.
He was married to Daisy Wanzer Griffith of Manassas, Virginia.
He leave to cherish his memory; two daughters, Danielle LaShea Griffith of Manassas, and Adrian Vanice Griffith of Gainesville, Virginia; one son, Gilbert R. Griffith, II of Manassas; Dorothy Lane, his companion of Winchester, Virginia; two stepdaughters, Carmen Lane of Winchester and Patricia Kirk of Leesburg, Virginia; two stepsons, Dwayne Lane and Robert Lane both of Leesburg, Virginia; two sisters, Bessie Allen and Deloris Harris both of Manassas, Virginia; five brothers, George L. Griffith of Leesburg, Virginia, Robert Griffith and Lawrence Griffith both of Manassas, Virginia, Fred "Billy" Griffith of Alexandria, Virginia and Ernest Griffith of Bunker Hill, WV.
One son, Darric Sentelle Griffith and one brother Curtis Griffith preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday March 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with Rev.
Michael Griffith officiating.
Family will received friends one hour before service at the funeral home.
