Gwendolyn "Gwen" Victoria Davis (Smith)

Gwendolyn Victoria Davis, 72, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

Gwen was born February 2, 1949, in Winchester, VA., the daughter of the late John Mathew Smith and Lena Mae "Beamer" Smith.

She is survived by her two sons, Anthony A. Davis of Staunton, VA., and Thomas E. Davis (Lesa) of Winchester, VA.; five brothers, Joseph Robert Smith (Jennie) of Atlanta, GA., Wesley Allen Smith of Winchester, VA., Reginald Lee Smith of Animas, NM., Anthony Carroll Smith of Anchorage, AK.; three sisters, Goldie Virginia Whitmore of San Antonio, TX., Anna Marie Smith (Mike) of Front Royal, VA., Sandra Dee Jacobs (Joe)  of Kearneysville, WV.; one granddaughter, Keyera White of Staunton, VA.; three grandsons, William Brown of Gaithersburg, MD., Xavier King of Paw Paw, WV., and Tyler Ferrell of Richmond, VA.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gwen is preceded in death by her sister, Elsie Hogan of Woodbridge, VA., and daughter Melissa Jones of Front Royal, VA.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19,2022, at Cartwright Funeral Home located at 232 East Fairfax Lane, Winchester, VA. Family will receive friends on hour before service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Winchester House, 27 South Cameron Street, Winchester, VA.
