Harry Spotwood Brown
Harry S. Brown, 76, formerly of Winchester, Virginia died Monday September 14, 2009 at Providence Hospital in Washington DC.
Mr. Brown was born September 8, 1933 in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late William H. Brown and Minnie Green Brown. He retired from the government as a procurement officer after 30 years. He graduated from Douglas High School. He was the salutatorian of his class. He also played football (half back) for Douglas High. He was an avid Redskin fan.
He was married to Fitzhugh Christian Brown of Washington DC.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his wife, two daughters, Joyce Brenda Brown of Washington DC and Susan Marie Brown of Colonial Beach, Virginia; one brother William (Bill) Brown, Jr. of Winchester, Virginia; host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
One brother, Charles Brown preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Monday September 21, 2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington DC with The Rev Canon John T.W. Harmon officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be 11:00 am Tuesday September 22, 2009 at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
