Herbert "Jim" Wesley Bowen

Herbert W. Bowen, 70, of Winchester, Virginia died, Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.

He was born June 13, 1939 in Winchester, Virginia the son of the late Walter Douglas Bowen and Edna Catherine Fauver. He was a retired railroad conductor with B&O Railroad. He also served in the National Guard.

He was married to Mildred Kibler Bowen for 13 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Tamy Lee Growden of Paw Paw West Virginia and Tonia Lynn Bowen of Winchester, Virginia; two sons, Ricky Lee Bowen and Christopher Scott Bowen both of Winchester, Virginia; one step-son, Chris Renner of Winchester; and one brother, Bobby Bowen of Stephens City, Virginia

A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday November 10, 2009 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with Pastor John Manning of Another Chance Church officiating.

Inurnment will be at a later date.
