Iola "Jackie" Banks Williams
Iola Jacquelyn Williams, 70, of Winchester, VA, entered eternal rest Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Jackie was born September 3, 1941 in Front Royal, Virginia, VA, the daughter of the late Howard Waymond Banks and Alberta Townley Banks. She attended elementary school in Front Royal, VA, and studied cosmetology at the Manassas Regional School.
She was united in marriage with Lathan "Popeye" Williams Sr. on May 19, 1962 in Winchester, VA. She worked for the Costello and Hylton families.
Her memories will be cherished by her husband, one daughter, India Dawson of Winchester, VA; two sons, Lathan Williams, Jr. of Winchester, VA and James Howard Williams of Stephens, City, VA; 7 grandchildren, 2, great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; 2 sisters; Hazel Bailey of Newark, NJ and Clarice Banks of Manassas, VA; 2 sisters-in-law and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
A daughter; a sister, Bessie Banks; two brothers, Howard Banks and James Banks preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, VA with Pastor Kevin Wilson.
Visitation will be Tuesday February 7, 2012 one hour before service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Williams, Dennis Williams, John O. Williams III, David Wilds, Jr., Mark Humbert and Larry Banks, Jr.; Honorary Pallbearer; Larry Dawson, Sr.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
