James Dearmont Dodson

James D. Dodson, 64, of Winchester, VA., passed away on November 5, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. He was born on July 1, 1947 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Willie Love Dodson and Emily Susie Nicholson Dodson.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. His care giver was his ex-wife, Dreama Dodson of Winchester, Virginia.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Dreama Dodson; three daughters, Dreama Thompson of Stephens City, VA; Diana Ortega and Patricia Dodson both of Winchester, VA; one son Willie Dearmont Dodson of Charlestown, WV; four sisters, Kay Cooper, Rosie Reynolds and Virginia Henry all of Gore, VA, and Emily Housing of WV; two brothers Junior Dodson and Robert Dodson both of Winchester, VA; and eight grandchildren.

Two sisters, Grace Roomers and Faye Housing; and two brothers, William Dodson and Van Dodson all preceded him in death.


A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Friday November 11, 2011 at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Winchester, VA, with Pastor Steve Rebert.

Family will receive friends 7:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday November 10, 2011 at the funeral home.
