James Reid Williams
James R. Williams, 48, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday October 15, 2014.
He was born January 18, 1966 in Winchester, VA to the late Gloria Williams Porter and Charles Tigney. James was educated in the Winchester Public School System. He married in 1991 to Peggy Cornell who is also deceased. James had a heart for the community, he volunteered for the Rouss Fire Company and The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. He helped his best friend Jerry deliver newspapers. He would always lend a hand to anyone that was in need.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters, Josephine E. Williams-Harris of Washington D.C. and Carolyn A. Goodman of Virginia Beach; one brother, Terry L. Williams of Capitol Heights, MD; two brothers-in-laws, Elvis D. Goodman of Virginia and Arthur L. Harris of Washington D.C.; four nephews, Keith Harris of Lanham, MD, Dimitri D. Goodman of Virginia Beach, VA, Arthur L. Harris III of Washington D.C., and Romell James Young of Washington D.C.; one niece Brianna M. Goodman of Virginia Beach, VA; two beloved aunts Maggie Mae Williams of Capitol Heights, MD; and Gladys R. Osborne of Lanham, MD; one uncle. Norvel L. Williams, Jr. of Washington; five cousins, Warren M. Williams, Chevon D. Osborne, Chetara T. Williams, Lataravia M. Robinson and Craig E. Osborne; a beloved great aunt, Elise L. Johnson; best friend Jerry Hileman, Sherry Hileman, Eric Hileman of Winchester, VA and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
A celebration of life Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 1:00 pm at the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester, VA with Rev. Mark Ranson presiding.
