John Henry Laws, Jr.

John Henry Laws, Jr., 69, of Winchester, VA, entered in eternal rest Thursday March 1, 2012 at Hill Top House in Winchester, VA.

Mr. Laws was born November 17, 1942 in Boyce, VA., the son of late John Henry Laws, Sr. and Bertha Johnson. He was a United States Army Veteran. He worked at Allegheny Power for over 35 years.

He was married to Violet Blowe Laws for 48 years.

He leaves to cherish him memory a son, John Henry Laws III of Winchester, VA; a daughter, Carla Laws Fleming of Winchester, VA; a brother Noah A. Laws (his companion Betty) of Winchester, VA.;
a sister-in-law, Catherine Johnson of Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nephews and nieces.

A brother Eugene Johnson preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 8, 2012 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, VA with Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating.

Friends may visit Wednesday March 7, 2012 1:00 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Family will receive friends Thursday March 8, 2012 one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.
