Joseph J. Cook, Jr.
Joseph J. Cook, Jr., 77, of Clear Brook, Virginia passed away Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Cook was born January 31 1933 in Brucetown, Virginia, the son of the late Joseph Cook, Sr. and Blanche Cook. He was a member of John Wesley Community Christian Church in Clear Brook, Virginia.
He was married to Bessie Dokes.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters; Betty A. Smith of (Timmy) of Stephens City, Virginia and Marissa L. Dokes (Tommy) of Clear Brook, Virginia; three sons, Joseph W. Dokes (Roberta), Clarence E. Dokes (Brenda), and Minister James A. Dokes (Ruby) all of Winchester, Virginia; one brother James Cook of Charles Town, WV; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces and friends.
Five brothers; Earl Cook, Paul Cook, Randolph Cook, Robert Cook, and Eugene Cook and two sisters; Josephine Cook and Pauline Cook all preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 pm Monday May 10, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, Virginia, with Pastor Al Ford officiating.
Family will receive friends 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Sunday May 9, 2010 at the church.
Interment will be at Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Cook, Jr., Ralph Anthony Brown, George Sloane, Clint Cook, Sr.,and Clint Cook, Jr.
