Katherine "Helen" Armstead Holmes
Born in Winchester, VA, Helen, who was a resident of NE Washington, DC, for over 60 years, entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2013.
She was a devoted wife for 52 years of the late George C. Holmes; daughter of the late Hilda Armstead Long and Alexander Fletcher.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons George W. (Sandra), Henry T.; a daughter, Natalie V. Holmes-Fields; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Friday, March 29, 2013 at Cartwright Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Love and Charity Cemetery in Millwood, VA.
A repast will be at Millwood Community Center in Millwood, Va.
