Kourtney M. Hale, 29, of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Winchester, Virginia, departed this life on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

Kourtney was born May 29, 1980 in Winchester, VA the daughter of Karen Stephenson Shields of Woodbridge, VA. and Kermit D. Shields of Charlestown, WV. She was employed by BAE Systems and traveled abroad to many countries during her employment.

Her sweet voice saying "Good Morning Sunshine" will forever be remembered. Kourtney's essence will be greatly missed.

She was married to Edward E. Hale, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD.

She leaves to cherish her memory with her husband; mother and father; her sister, Kelli Shields; her nieces McKenzie Shields, Kennedy Michelle Thornton and nephew, Branden Thornton all of Gaithersburg, MD.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 pm Friday March 26, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church 1317 South Pleasant Valley Road in Winchester, VA. with Minister Tony Ares officiating.

Family will receive friends Friday March 26, 2010 10:30 to 11:45 am at the church.

Interment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, VA.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Scott, Scotty Hale, Tremond Hale, Reggie Spraggins, Marvin Bumbrey, and Derrick Shields.
