Lavinia M. Campbell
Lavinia M. Campbell, 83, of Winchester, VA., passed away July 25, 2010 at Blue Ridge Hospice Center in Winchester, VA.
She was born October 5, 1926 in Winchester, VA the daughter of the late Albert Franklin Martin, Sr. and Blanche Long Martin. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she served on the usher board and a class leader. She was also a member of the NAACP.
She was married to Stanley K. Campbell who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory; a son Clifton Etheridge Campbell of Winchester; two sisters, Gladys Peyton and Beulah Martin both of Winchester, VA.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One sister, Ramona Tennant and three brothers, Jasper Long, Albert F. Martin, Jr., and Warren Long all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday July 31, 2010 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winchester, VA. with Pastor Kevin E. Wilson officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour before service Saturday July 31, 2010 and 7:00 to 8:30 pm Friday July 30, 2010 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Randolph Martin, Albert F. Martin III, Johnny Martin, Sr., William "Billy" Banks, and Vernon "Duffy" Banks.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
