Lawrence Lacey Armistead, III

Lawrence Lacey "Larry" "Rocky" Armistead III, 59, of Inwood West Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2013.

He was born on October 22, 1954, in Stamford, Connecticut, son of the late Lawrence Armistead Jr. and Bernice Ralph Armistead. He was employed by Berryville Graphics, Capitol Records and Fleetwood Travel Trailers for many years. He served in the United States Navy.

Larry was married to Lovince Armistead of Inwood, WV.

He was married to Lovince Mosley Armistead of Inwood ,WV.

He is survived by his wife, 4 children; Marsha Armistead, Chiffon Armistead, and Sandra Peterson all of Winchester, VA and Michael Armistead of Stephens City, VA. One Sister, Valerie Armistead of (New Haven, CT); 3 brothers, Steven Armistead (Richmond, VA), Vincent Armistead (Norwalk, CT), Randolph Armistead (CA); 9 grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

A brother Bryant Armistead and granddaughter Quanesha Dokes preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA.

Family will receive friends Monday, November 25th one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to Cartwright Funeral Home 232 East Fairfax Lane, Winchester, VA. 22601 for Lawrence L. Armistead III burial fund.
