Lester Randolph Shields
Lester R. Shields, 75, of Winchester, Virginia died Wednesday July 19, 2006 at his home.
Mr. Shields was born June 14, 1931 in Stephens City, Virginia the son of Elizabeth Shields. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He worked for the Scully family for 40years.
He was married to Helen Burks Shields, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Charles A. Butler of Front Royal, Virginia and one sister, Helena S. Crittenden of Winchester, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am Monday July 24, 2006 at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia with the Rev. Dr. Franklin S. Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Winchester National Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia with military honors by the VFW Post 2123 of Winchester.
The Family will receive friends Monday July 24, 2006 one hour before service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Beamer, Brian Carter, John Shields, William Crittenden,Jr., Kermit Shields, and Kenneth Burks.
