Lillian Crittenden Smart
Lillian Crittenden Smart 88, of Berryville, Virginia passed into eternal life Friday June 11, 2010 GLG Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berryville, Virginia.
Mrs. Smart was born January 22, 1922 in Charlestown WV. ,the daughter of the late Hugh Thomas Crittenden and Bessie Williams Crittenden. She was a member of the Guilfield Baptist Church in Millwood, Virginia.
She was married to Lewis Henry Smart who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Lillian Ann Morton of Winchester, Virginia and Toynetta Brown Thompson of Tarpan Springs, Florida; two sons, Tyrone Crittenden of Delaware, and Waddell Smart of Hagerstown, MD; three brothers, George Crittenden of Winchester, Virginia, William Crittenden of Washington DC, and Minor Crittenden of Chambersburg, PA; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren;also a host of neices ,nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Two sisters, Margaret Williams and Henrietta Gary; one brother, Hugh Crittenden; a daughter, Velva Jeffries; and two sons, Henry Ashe and Odell Smart all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 pm Tuesday June 15, 2010 at Guilfield Baptist Church in Millwood, Virginia with Rev. Harold L. Brown, Sr. and Rev. Ginger Medley of Asbury United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown,WV.
Family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Charles "Buster' Jackson Community Cemetery in White Post, Virginia
