Lorraine Emily Reed
Lorraine E. Reed, 92, of Berryville, VA., departed this life on October 4, 2018 at Rose Hill Health and Rehab Center in Berryville, VA.
She was born July 17, 1926 in Winchester, VA the daughter of late John Henderson Cook and Esther Davis Cook. She was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Berryville, VA. She worked as a school crossing guard for the Winchester police department.
She was married to Charles C. Reed, Sr., who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Charles H. Reed of Berryville, VA.; a sister Mother Mary Cross (Robert) of Winchester, VA; three grandchildren; Aaron D. Reed, of Winchester, VA., Trinnie T. Reed of Warrenton, VA., and Kevin J. Carter of Woodbridge, VA; a stepson, Kirby C. Reed (Elva) of Winchester, VA.; step-daughter, Dailey Walker (Floyd) of Winchester, VA, and a host of great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
one grand-son, Charles A. Reed preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 12:00 pm, October 10, 2018 at St. Luke Baptist Church in Berryville, VA., with Pastor Delbert Pope officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.
Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
